Tips and tricks for a mom on the move.?
In August my son will be 1 yr. On top of that I have a wedding in San Diego, and my mother decided that since I am there with them she wanted to go to Sea World. I have the sunblock, but it is going to probably be scorching hot... Does anyone have any tips to keep my son cool and happy? Im feeding him baby food at the moment how should i handle that as well? Should I bring a cooler full of his food? Water bottles? I have heard of misters, should i attach one to his stroller?
Alright since I lived in LA with my daughter since she was one I can give you some survival tips.
1. Invest in a shade extender or equivalent for the stroller, its the best money you will ever spend.
2. Buy one of those little battery powered handheld fans and rig it to the stroller.
3. Keep baby food in the stroller in an insulated lunch box with ice packs for long trips out, or, just get him by on non perishable snacks and water, or soft fruits like bananas and such. Do not give him formula out in the sun, its killer on his belly and he will need the water a ton more.
4. Apply sunblock liberally throughout the day, just to be safe.
5. Keep a small travel pack of wipes in the insulated lunch box, so you have a nice cold wipe to cool him down with (this tip was given to me and is a lifesaver, you're going to be using them on yourself too!)
With those tips and light airy clothes you should have a happy baby and a fun trip to sea world
Have fun!!
